Sr. Azure Cloud Architect Location: Jersey City, NJ (5 days onsite) Contract Duration: 12 months Seeking an Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and automation of Azure infrastructure for a financial services client. This hands-on role involves architecting scalable infrastructure, driving CI/CD pipeline efficiency, and contributing to DevOps transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate has deep expertise with Azure services, Terraform, scripting, and enterprise deployment practices. Key Responsibilities • Manage and support CI/CD pipelines across Azure environments. • Use Terraform to provision, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure. • Execute deployment runbooks and adjust infrastructure as needed. • Work with internal tools (e.g., Jet and Jewels) to manage deployments. • Administer core Azure services: compute, networking, storage, and identity. • Support Azure messaging systems such as Event Grid, Event Hubs, and Service Bus. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deployment readiness. Required Qualifications • 8 10+ years of experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and automation. • Extensive experience with Terraform for building and managing complex infrastructure at scale. • Proven track record in designing and managing enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines. • Expert knowledge of Azure services including compute, networking, IAM, and storage. • Strong scripting experience in Python or other languages for automation. • Ability to lead infrastructure initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and drive architectural decisions. • Experience with internal DevOps platforms such as Jet and Jewels or similar systems. Preferred Qualifications • Experience leading infrastructure modernization or DevOps transformation projects. • Hands-on experience with GitOps workflows, infrastructure testing, and policy-as-code. • Expertise in implementing security, governance, and compliance in Azure environments. • Certifications such as AZ-400, AZ-305, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
