What you do: The AI Engineer is a member of the Data Science team within the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence. With general support and direction, this individual is responsible for scaling up AI solutions across the company, researching solution options, expediting Proof of Concept (POC) exploration and driving innovation throughout the Enterprise. This individual will work closely with a team of data scientists and technical teams to support the development, deployment and maintenance of AI applications and platforms that drive business value for Allianz Life. • Lead the design, build, and maintenance of AI applications and platforms using various capabilities and services through our Azure platform • Implement new data mapping, pipelines, and delivery systems to ensure seamless data integration • Ensure performance optimization and monitor for any system issues to maintain operational excellence • Explore, test, and evaluate innovative AI capabilities, focusing on Proof of Concepts (POCs) to assess their feasibility and potential impact • Collaborate with data science and technical teams to understand company needs and ensure our data platform and applications enable use cases across the business • Partner with other technical teams & business stakeholders to design, test, and build AI solutions that align with strategic goals • Participate and lead in all aspects of project lifecycle from requirement gathering, design, development, deployment, and monitoring • Execute on and continuously improve team process, standards, documentations, and other best practices to enhance efficiency • Utilize artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI) What you bring: • 6+ years of experience required • Bachelor's degree in relevant technical domain, or equivalent work experience • Experience developing solutions on cloud • Strong background in software engineering and solution architecture • Proficiency in SQL & Python • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.
