We're looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled individual to join our Mongolian Business Service and Support Centre in Ulaanbaatar. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about data, analytics, and problem solving - and who is excited by the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing, multicultural team. As a Senior Analyst - Reporting and Analytics, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end reporting and analytics solutions across multiple business units. You'll work with a range of reporting tools and platforms, including SAP BW, Tableau, Power BI, and more, while collaborating with global teams and internal stakeholders. This role offers a chance to gain exposure to advanced data platforms and work on world-class mining projects. If you're ready to develop your career in a global environment and enjoy solving complex data challenges, we'd love to hear from you. • Support the design, development, and deployment of analytics and reporting solutions • Assist in the delivery of reporting dashboards, scorecards, and custom visualisations using tools such as SAP BW, Tableau, Power BI, and more • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and data requirements • Deliver analytics solutions and support their usage across the organisation • Apply dimensional modelling and ETL design principles to ensure data quality and reliability • Document technical specifications and user-facing guides for analytical products • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the analytics space • Work closely with global build and delivery teams to share expertise and deliver results What you will bring • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field • Proven experience with data warehouse design, SQL, and ETL frameworks • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and concepts (e.g. OLAP, Power BI, Tableau) • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information clearly • A self-motivated mindset with a willingness to learn and tackle challenges • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a multicultural, distributed team • Fluency in English It will also be beneficial if you have: • Experience with DAX, Microsoft Power Platform, or SAP Analytics tools • Understanding of project management principles • A customer-focused mindset and experience working with diverse stakeholder groups • A proactive attitude and ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment What we offer • A competitive salary • A permanent position working directly for Rio Tinto • A work environment where safety and personal well-being are always the number one priority • Family-friendly health and wellbeingsupport • Flexible working arrangement • "My Share" - share ownership plan • Leave for all of life's reasons (vacation/annual, paid parental, sick leave).
