At MMGY we inspire people to go places. We have an immediate opening for a Data Visualization Analyst in our Washington, DC or Overland Park, KS office. We are seeking a skilled Data Visualization Analyst to drive impactful analysis and visualization within our MMGY Travel Intelligence research analytics platform. This is not a data scientist or programmer role; rather, it requires expertise in creating and managing visual data representations and collaborating closely with stakeholders to provide actionable insights. Experience with PowerBI is essential, with additional knowledge of tools like Tableau, Qlik, or Symphony Analytics being a plus. Your contributions will directly support clients in leveraging proprietary research data to inform strategic decisions. Responsibilities Data Visualization and Dashboard Creation • Design and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations • Develop informative reports that present data insights to stakeholders and clients • Enhance existing dashboards for better user experience and insights delivery Collaboration and Communication • Work with cross-functional teams—including market research, strategic planning, and account management—to understand data needs and provide tailored visualizations • Translate data questions into visual reports and provide training to help end-users leverage the analytics platform Platform Administration • Administer the MMGY Travel Intelligence research analytics platform, ensuring reliability, performance, and security • Provision new users and manage user access and permissions • Collaborate with IT as needed for infrastructure maintenance Continuous Improvement • Stay updated on data visualization trends and best practices • Identify opportunities to improve data analysis and reporting for greater insight delivery • Recommend tools and features to expand the platform’s capabilities, focused on visualization rather than complex programming Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Analytics, or related field • 1-3 years with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) • 2-3 years of experience using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to create visual reports • Experience in data preparation for visualization, with a focus on BI platforms rather than programming • Strong proficiency in data visualization techniques, with working knowledge of SQL preferred • Understanding of market research principles • Experience working in a consulting environment is a plus • Certification in Microsoft Power BI or Tableau is a plus Required Skills • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data solutions clearly to diverse audiences • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment • Client service and relationship management skills Preferred Skills • Familiarity with Symphony Analytics • Experience with data integration and ETL processes (not requiring advanced programming skills) • Familiarity with Generative AI tools MMGY Global provides a comprehensive PTO + benefits package inclusive of a hybrid telework policy.
