IT Manager Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Manage Poynter’s IT Staff Responsible for the installation, care, and maintenance of Poynter’s in-house hardware and software. Use the consultative selling technique to position and present our Managed IT Solutions & Services to our existing AND prospective print and imaging customers. Project a positive image through proper attire, communication skills, and personal grooming. A Must: Have been a crucial team member when presenting Managed IT Solutions & Services – the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during customer interactions. Work the Managed IT leads generated by the sales team and service technicians. Need to be able to support, implement, design, configure, and install any hardware – including, but not limited to – servers, workstations, firewalls, wireless routers, backup solutions, virtual environments and software solutions. Must have a solid, hands-on foundation with Windows OS’s and an understanding of the Microsoft 365 for Enterprise Suite. Practical knowledge of hardware/software network security platforms and VPN’s. Perform malware identification and removal. Remain current on IT through vendor-led training and self-study. Training/Education Background: Computer industry certification(s); and/or college or trade school diploma; and/or 5+ years (10,000 hours) documented professional IT experience. General IT knowledge on multi-function device(s) connectivity. General knowledge in desktop, server, infrastructure, and cloud-based technologies.Have actually properly analyzed, planned, implemented, configured, administered, troubleshot, and maintained an IT infrastructure. Proven previous experience in small business network administration – including cabling, communication infrastructure, power requirements, switching, routing, firewall, endpoint and server security solutions. Also, desktop and server operations systems; network and database applications; disaster recovery planning; and, restoration for 1-100 workstations networks.
