As we scale our analytics ecosystem, we're seeking a Lead Power BI Developer with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric , DirectLake architecture , and Premium capacity management to drive performance, governance, and innovation across our reporting landscape. Role Overview In this role, you will architect, develop, and lead the delivery of scalable analytics solutions within Microsoft Fabric. You'll optimize performance, manage Premium capacities, and mentor cross-functional teams to elevate enterprise reporting and data storytelling. Key Responsibilities Design & Develop: Build robust Power BI datasets, dashboards, and reports leveraging DirectLake and Lakehouse architecture. Architect Solutions: Implement scalable data models and governed semantic layers aligned with business objectives. Optimize Performance: Monitor and tune Premium capacity usage, DirectLake queries, and refresh schedules. Governance & Security: Apply RLS, workspace governance, and deployment pipelines for compliance and reliability. Lead & Mentor: Guide junior developers, enforce best practices, and collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams. Integrate & Automate: Utilize OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, and Fabric pipelines for seamless data ingestion and transformation. Stakeholder Engagement: Translate business requirements into impactful visualizations and insights. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of Power BI development experience, including 1-2 years in the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem . Proven expertise in DirectLake , Lakehouse , and OneLake architecture. Strong understanding of Premium capacity management , workload optimization, and governance. Proficiency in DAX , Power Query (M) , and Dataflows Gen2 . Hands-on experience with deployment pipelines , workspace governance , and row-level security . Familiarity with Azure Data Services , Databricks , or Synapse is a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or Power BI Data Analyst Associate. Experience leading enterprise data platform modernization or migration to Fabric . Background in data strategy , report rationalization , or metadata-driven development .
