Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Systems Administrator at Wurth IT USA (3 days per week onsite in our Chicago-area office). We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microsoft 365 Administrator to join our team. Since we are an IT Service provider, we have Systems Administrators that are either customer facing or “back end”. This role is customer facing. As a customer facing systems administrator, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our clients in their M365 cloud environments. You will also support the international technical Rollout teams with your technical knowhow. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the smooth operation and optimization of M365 services together in a technical team with our System Engineer/Administrators. Responsibilities • Manage and support Microsoft 365 services, including Intune, Tenant API permissions, Permission Management, Tenant Security • Manage, monitor, and maintain the Active Directory and Entra ID environment, including user management, group policies, tenant license handling and security configurations. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to AD, Entra ID, M365, Intune, and related systems. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Intune managed Devices. • Collaborate with the development team to leverage Tenant API permissions for automation, integration, and customization of IT systems and processes. • Ensure data integrity, backup, and recovery procedures for AD, Entra ID, M365, and related systems. • Participate in the planning and implementation of system upgrades, migrations, and enhancements. • Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement optimizations for AD, Entra ID, M365 and related infrastructure. • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and implement changes to meet business needs. • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to all Office 365 technologies like: AD, Entra ID, M365, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and Azure API. • Monitor our systems and proactively react on incidents. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator/Engineer • Proven experience as a Level 2-3 Administrator, specializing in AD, M365, Intune, API permissions and Client Management. • Strong expertise in Active Directory administration, including user management, group policies, and security configurations. • Prior experience with deploying Autopilot with Intune is required. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues. • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive. • Proficiency in leveraging Azure API for automation, integration, and customization of IT systems. • Solid understanding of networking, DNS, certificates, common authentication methods and security principles related to AD, M365 and related systems. • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, or similar, are preferred. • Excellent communication interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with people abroad.
