We are looking for an outgoing and dynamic Jr. Systems Administrator to contribute to the successful administration, operation, and support of business-critical application and network business environments. The Jr. Systems Administrator is responsible for the collaborative maintenance of, and overseeing the management and administration of, technical resources and application of policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of QES infrastructure. The Jr. Systems Administrator is responsible for working with the Infrastructure and ERP solutions currently in place as well as new and incoming solutions as required in support of the business. Day to day will focus on the administration, support, and evolution of these systems, user support, and the infrastructure in general. Responsibilities: Build, maintain, monitor, and optimize QES application, environment, and systems infrastructure. • Ensure 24x7 availability of QES production and ERP systems. • Support disaster recovery sites and solutions. • Perform routine maintenance, audits, and administration of systems. • Maintain & report system performance statistics as required. • Building, imaging, delivering user systems • Monitor, optimize and allocate system resources required for QES operations. • Safeguard company data against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. • Build and maintain redundant systems, procedures, for high availability and disaster recovery. • Train others and answer user-facing system related questions Qualifications: Key Skills and Competencies Needed • Experience with IIS management, troubleshooting and performance monitoring. • Prior experience working in a virtualized server environment, VMWare, Hyper-V • Experience with automation and/or PowerShell scripting. • Experience and/or familiarity with ERP systems and solutions. • Fluent with Microsoft Windows server core services, features, endpoint management solutions. • Knowledge of or experience with most of the following technologies and concepts: Active Directory, Backup Storage solutions, VPN, SSL, FTP, AWS, Azure, SolarWinds, PHP, MySQL, SQL Server, WordPress, MS Teams, MFA solutions, Hyper-V, VMWare, Internal Ticketing processes • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including robust troubleshooting skills with a focus on preventative actions. Minimum Qualifications • At least 2-4 years of experience performing system and custom application maintenance while supporting infrastructure and operations in a high SLA production environment. • Strong, demonstrable skill within the Microsoft product world: Office 365, AD, Core services, WSUS etc. • Good to have Azure, Entra, familiarity as well • Strong familiarity with networking and general network elements Personal Attributes • Analytical and adaptable problem solver and troubleshooter • Demonstrated experience as a responsive and adaptable Jr. Systems Admin • Should be a highly motivated self-starter and contributor. • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written, communication style. • Must have a high degree of personal integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality. • Must uphold, safeguard and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to corporate ethics, integrity and priorities. • Ability to work without supervision on short-term projects. • Results oriented with keen attention to detail.
