Role: Senior Technical Info Risk / Azure Cloud Security Consultant Location: Washington, DC (Metro accessible) – Hybrid Duration: Long-Term Contract Remote Flexibility: Yes, with monthly (once) or quarterly onsite (3–4 days) onsite Experience: 12+ years Key Responsibilities: • Define, engineer, and validate security configurations for cloud (Azure) and on-premise platforms. • Act as a senior security advisor to project teams, business units, and service providers. • Lead creation and QA of security control standards, technical configurations, and risk assessments. • Drive implementation and assurance of ISO 27001 compliance. • Collaborate on the secure rollout of IT platforms and services across the lifecycle. Key Technical Skills Required: • Hands-on Azure Security (Azure AD / Entra, Defender, Key Vault, Policy, Kubernetes, API Mgmt). • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Purview security configurations. • Proven experience with infrastructure, application, and database security hardening. • Working knowledge of cloud-native tools, SIEMs, and regulatory frameworks. • Experience implementing security in regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare).
