We are seeking a skilled and innovative Power BI Fabric Support Engineer & Developer to architect, develop, and maintain advanced business intelligence solutions. Based in Jersey City, NJ, this hybrid role requires one day per week onsite and is ideal for someone who can blend deep technical skills with strong business communication. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the Power BI architecture, leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, M language, and scripting tools to enable secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. Power BI Architecture & Development Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end Power BI architecture, including: Data ingestion (via Fabric Pipelines & OneLake) Semantic model design and optimization DAX measures and calculations Report and dashboard creation with UX best practices Define and enforce governance, naming conventions, and version control in Power BI artifacts. Create and manage enterprise datasets, certified dataflows, and shared workspaces with security and scalability in mind. 2. Microsoft Fabric Engineering Utilize Microsoft Fabric capabilities, including: Direct Lake, Lakehouses, and OneLake Data Pipelines and Notebooks Orchestrate robust, automated, and reusable data workflows that support real-time and batch analytics. 3. Power Automate & Workflow Automation Design and deploy Power Automate flows to support: BI report refresh scheduling Alerting and notification systems Integration with third-party systems via connectors and APIs Automate manual business processes to improve efficiency and auditability. 4. Data Transformation & Scripting Use Power Query (M language) for advanced data shaping, cleaning, and transformation logic Report deployment Data validation Integration with Azure services or REST APIs 5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication Engage with business users to gather requirements, perform needs assessments, and translate them into technical solutions. Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Create documentation, technical design specs, and user guides to support solution delivery and adoption.
