Johnson Service Group is recruiting a Senior Network Administrator for a great client of ours in Tampa, FL. This is a 6 month+ contract on site 5 days a week. No remote option. Pay range is $30/hr - $35/hr Position Summary Description • Independently installs and maintains voice and data network components, phone systems, wireless devices, structured cabling, PC hardware and software, server hardware and associated peripheral equipment. • Provides support for complex problems involving phone circuits, LAN/WAN and structured cabling. Qualifications and Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a computer related discipline. • Requires five (5) years of IT experience, three (3) of which must be as a network or system administrator responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of network and/or server hardware and software products in a medium to large-scale installation. Assists in the relocation of offices and equipment as required. • May direct the work activity of Network Administrators and PC Technicians. • Troubleshoots and brings to resolution network connectivity and telephone problems. • Ensures accurate records, documents and diagrams of the voice and data structured cabling are maintained. • Assists in the support and management of all wireless communication devices. Makes recommendations for plan changes to improve service and/or contain cost. • Installs, maintains and supports voice and data network equipment while minimizing service impact. • Removes and properly disposes of defective or obsolete equipment in compliance with SECI procedures. • Installs, maintains and supports server and associated peripheral hardware while minimizing service impact. • Refers hardware failures to external maintenance vendor or supplier for resolution. Tracks resolution and keeps management informed. • Monitors data network performance and capacity, making recommendations to management to improve service delivery. • Participates in network design and architecture. • Conducts security reviews, identify issues and make recommendations to improve network security. • Tracks and reports the progress of all assigned tasks ensuring management’s awareness of project status. • Identifies and makes recommendations to management for improvements in processes, techniques, technologies, hardware and software. • Performs other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned.
