Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of security architecture for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premise infrastructure, and applications. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines across the organization. Conduct comprehensive security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management activities. Oversee and enhance the company's incident response capabilities, leading investigations and post-mortem analysis for security breaches. Implement and manage security tools and technologies, including SIEM, EDR, WAF, IDS/IPS, and identity and access management (IAM) solutions. Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC (Secure by Design, DevSecOps principles). Mentor and guide junior security engineers, fostering their technical growth and professional development. Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and defense mechanisms, providing threat intelligence to the team. Participate in security audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA). Automate security processes and implement security-as-code principles. Research and evaluate new security technologies and solutions to continuously improve the security posture. Provide expert advice and recommendations to leadership on security risks and mitigation strategies. Lead security awareness and training initiatives for employees. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive experience in information security engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior technical role. Expertise in cloud security principles and practices (AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications preferred). Strong understanding of network security, operating system security (Linux/Windows), and database security. Proven experience with application security, including secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation. Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies across various domains. Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation. Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GSEC, or equivalent. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with an ability to anticipate and respond to threats. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience building or maturing a DevSecOps program. Experience with Kubernetes and container security. Background in security architecture or design.
