Job Title: Principal Cybersecurity Architect Type of Position: 3 to 6 month contact role to start. Likely for extension / converting to direct hire long term. Candidate Requirements: This role is open to US Citizens and Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders). Candidates on F1-CPT, F1-OPT, H1B or TN visas are also permitted in this role. Job Location: This will be a hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA (generally 3 days in office, 2 remote). We may consider non-local candidates, but you will need to be willing to relocate to the Atlanta, GA area. Limited relocation assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis. Compensation: We are generally seeking candidates in the $65.00/hr to $80.00/hr pay range (but this will depend on candidate expectations, experience, etc). There may be additional flexibility for well-qualified candidates. Overtime will be paid at 1.5x over 40 hours. We are seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Architect to work at a leading wireless network operator in the USA. In this role you will ensure our clients’ software, systems, and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest security standards. You will conduct technical security assessments, perform code reviews and vulnerability testing, and work closely with engineering teams to enhance our overall security posture. You will also serve as a subject matter expert, guiding vision, strategy, and results across mobile devices, IoT, enterprise applications, cloud environments, and network technologies. Key Responsibilities: • Lead security reviews of new technologies, architecture designs, and remediation planning. • Conduct technical assessments, threat modeling, code reviews, and vulnerability testing. • Collaborate with engineering and operations to mitigate vulnerabilities uncovered via scans or security incidents. • Advise cross-functional teams on secure design principles and threat mitigation strategies. • Develop threat models and cyber threat trees using methodologies such as STRIDE, PASTA, TRIKE, DREAD, and ATT&CK frameworks. • Support enterprise-level security improvements across mobile, cloud, IoT, and network platforms. • Act as a subject matter expert in firewall policy design, SSL certificate management, and advanced persistent threat protection. • Present security strategies and risks to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. • Stay current with the latest threat vectors, technologies, and compliance regulations (e.g., SOX, PCI, CPNI). Required Qualifications: • 10+ years in Cybersecurity with 8+ years of Application Security experience. • Strong experience in threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE, PASTA, TRIKE, ATTACK TREE, DREAD, KILL CHAIN, CAPEC). • Hands-on programming/scripting with Java, Python, Node.js, and modern frameworks. • Deep knowledge of network security, including firewall policy design, SSL/TLS management, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability analysis & mitigation. • Familiarity with tools/platforms such as Venafi, MobileIron, AWS, Azure, FireEye, CyberArk, ArcSight, Splunk, Symantec, and others. • Experience with cloud-native environments (e.g., PCF, Docker) and scanning/AppSec tools (e.g., Qualys, Veracode). • Understanding of load balancers (e.g., F5, A10), privileged access control, and malware/APT protections. • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, secure application development, and security for mobile apps and handsets. • Proficiency in security scripting and automation using Python, Perl, Shell, HTML, PHP. • Familiarity with federal compliance standards (SOX, PCI, CPNI). • Strong communication skills and the ability to present to both leadership and engineering teams. • Ability to work independently and adapt to fast-evolving technologies. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in the Telecommunications industry is preferred but not required. • Experience with the security of mobile applications and handset devices Work Environment: • This is a 1st (day) shift role. • There may be occasional overtime in this role. Any OT will be paid at 1.5x. • Please note, this is a hybrid role.
