Microsoft Fabric / Data Lake Consultant We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric / Data Lake Consultant to lead the discovery and requirement gathering phase of our Microsoft Fabric implementation projects for one of the Education Industry Clients. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to assess the current data environment, understand business needs, and define the technical requirements necessary to ensure a successful deployment of Microsoft Fabric. Duration - 1Year Potential opportunity to lead the project implementation as well if client likes the plan and agree to implement the same. Key Responsibilities: • Project Kickoff and Stakeholder Engagement: oLead project kickoff meetings to align on goals, timelines, and expectations. oIdentify and engage with key stakeholders and develop and execute a communication plan to keep stakeholders informed throughout the project. • Current State Assessment: oConduct interviews and workshops to assess the current data architecture, systems, and processes. oFacilitate workshops and interviews to gather business requirements, including key use cases and data needs. oDefine technical requirements for data integration, storage, processing, and security within Microsoft Fabric. (Key systems include CRM, Student Information System, Learning Management System, Finance and HR System, Admission/Application System, ITSM and few more) oIdentify pain points, limitations, and opportunities for improvement in the current data environment. • Gap Analysis and Solution Design: oConduct a gap analysis to compare the current state with the desired future state. oDesign a high-level architecture and implementation plan for Microsoft Fabric. oValidate the proposed solution with stakeholders and iterate based on feedback. • Documentation and Sign-Off: oDocument all business and technical requirements, including detailed specifications and acceptance criteria. oObtain formal sign-off from stakeholders to confirm agreement on project scope and requirements. • Transition to Implementation: oDevelop a detailed project plan for the implementation phase based on validated requirements. oSupport the transition from discovery and requirement gathering to the implementation phase. Qualifications: • Educational Background: oBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. • Experience: oExtensive experience in data architecture, business analysis, and requirement gathering, particularly in the context of Microsoft Fabric or similar data platforms. oProven track record of leading discovery and requirement gathering phases for complex data projects. oExperience in working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships. • Technical Skills: oStrong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (or Similar Platform) and related tools. oExperience with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing. oUnderstanding of cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and related data services (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake). oProficiency in data modeling, data governance, and data security best practices. • Soft Skills: oExcellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. oStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities. oAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and drive consensus.
