Job Description The ERP System Administrator is primarily responsible for actively participating in the implementation and administration of the ERP application. Due to the dual nature of this role, this job description divides the key responsibilities into two sections: Key Implementation Responsibilities and Key Administration Responsibilities. The Administrator should have a thorough understanding of the overall goals of the implementation and be able to make and/or act upon most implementation decisions, in cooperation with the appropriate business unit representatives (Business Analysts). This role will be responsible for all configuration tasks when implementation is complete. Key Implementation Responsibilities During implementation of the ERP system, the Administrator is responsible for:Implementation of the ERP application, working as a key liaison between the Project Team and the business representativesOwnership of understanding and identifying customer requirements and development of systems that support the ERP productivity improvements and enforce corporate policies and procedures.Management/Gatekeeping of the system configuration, including design and data migration decisions.Management/Gatekeeping of Development, Data Migration, and Testing environments to ensure integrity throughout the implementation.Management of User provision and permissionsCustomization of Forms, Fields, Online forms, and Custom RecordsCreation and Unit testing of workflowsSupport User Acceptance testing tasks Key Administration Responsibilities After completion of the ERP implementation, including integration of acquired businesses, the Administrator will be responsible for:Maintenance and daily management of the ERP application.Technical and system administration, including data integration with multiple systems.Functional and technical requirements, system configuration, data integrity and all system-related policies and procedures. Define and write functional requirements based on staff business needs.Providing 2nd line line support with regards to all aspects of the ERP system and data maintenance.Primary point of contact to ERP vendors support team.Planning, reviewing, and customizing the ERP system as needed to meet needs of staff.System adoption and satisfaction, including training users on the ERP system relevant to their jobs; provide support to users and maintain proper system access; and support end user technical requests.Monitoring end-user usage of systems, tracking performance, performing daily administrative and support tasks, and maintaining and up-dating system documentation.Development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the quality of data and perform regular data audits; resolve of data integrity issues.Development, functional testing and rollout of customizations, custom objects, new enhancements, application releases and system integration based on user/business needs.Developing, documenting, and following formal policies, procedures and protocols for changes, customization, standards, usage, etc.Development and maintenance of custom application extensions using system API and third-party tools.Conducting data queries and integration of data from multiple systems – e.g. Web site, email database, etc.Providing product feedback to vendor and tracking of requested enhancements. Qualifications Required Business Skills, Experience and QualificationsDetailed understanding of common industry standard business practices as related to Accounting (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Invoicing); CRM Management (Opportunity, Proposal, Sales Orders, Forecasting, Territory Management and Quotas); Inventory & Supply Chain Management (Purchasing and Fulfilment); Support (Case Management); Supply Chain Management and General IT Change Management processes.Exposure to other Accounting, CRM Management and Marketing business practices such as Expense Tracking, Multi-currency, Commissions, Returns, Team Selling, Net or Ecommerce, Shopping carts and Website LayoutIn addition to working with NetSuite ERP system software, previous experience with the Sererra Rental Management and Repair modules is also desirable:Experience with software in a ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS) environment is a definite advantage, as is experience with financial accounting, customer management, and sales force automation softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work creatively in a problem-solving environmentAbility to balance technical skills with business savvy – the ability to transform end-user needs into technical and functional requirementsExcellent customer service skills: ability to form relationships both externally and internallyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDesirable Business Skills, Experience and QualificationsB2B, Supply Chain, Financials business experience.Two to five years experience with relational databases, SQL development, data integration and analysisSystem implementation and system integration experience Required Technical Skills Working knowledge of and experience using JavaScript, HTML, XML, Crystal and SQL is desirable.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Power Tools, Adobe Acrobat, Visio and MS Project
