Overview: A leading investment management firm is seeking a Lead .NET Developer for a long-term contract with a secured budget and several years of project work ahead. This hybrid role is based in San Antonio, TX, requiring on-site presence Tuesday through Thursday. This role will lead modernization efforts across a large enterprise application landscape. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in .NET/C#, cloud-native architecture (Azure or AWS), and microservices, with the ability to guide teams, support legacy systems, and drive delivery in a high-paced Agile environment. Key Responsibilities: • Architect and lead development of microservices using Azure or AWS • Develop and maintain backend services using C#, ASP.NET, SSRS, SSIS, and SQL Server • Guide observability and monitoring using EventBridge, CloudWatch, and Splunk • Leverage modern C# (8+) features like records, pattern matching, and switch expressions • Support and modernize legacy systems alongside new API development • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams • Manage sprint priorities, hotfixes, and backlog grooming in a Scrum environment • Contribute to DevOps practices and containerization efforts (e.g., AWS EKS) • 8+ years of professional experience with a strong focus on .NET/C# • Proven leadership in architecting and delivering enterprise-scale applications • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and microservices • Strong background in SQL, SSRS, SSIS, and API design • Excellent communication and team leadership skills in Agile settings The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
