Job Title: Automation Platform Architect Location : Remote Duration : 6 months Rate : $60 - $65/hr W2 Join our team as an integral player in defining and advancing business process automation initiatives, utilizing technologies including UiPath RPA, Microsoft Power Platform, premier Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) tools, etc. The Edwards Automation Platform Architect will engage in architecture design, spearhead the implementation of automation solutions worldwide, and ensure their deliveries and ongoing support. This pivotal role includes collaborating with diverse business units and technology stakeholders to comprehend existing processes, craft business requirements, design automation workflows, and supervise the development, deployment, and upkeep of automation solutions aimed at fostering innovative practices and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Oversee Edwards Automation Platform architecture, strategically orchestrating automation solutions and managing projects for timely delivery of business value. Must have experience with MS Power Automation and UiPath • Design state-of-the-art architectures to fulfill Edwards's automation needs. • Assume technical leadership, guiding automation implementations within agile frameworks. • Convert business requirements into specifications and devise automation plans using the UiPath product suite. • Track industry advancements in business Automation and shape adoption strategies. • Define architecture guidelines and lead execution plans for solution-oriented outcomes. • Outline and administer technical infrastructural prerequisites for deploying automation solutions while adhering to IT security protocols. • Liaise with key Edwards stakeholders, articulating clear solution roadmaps and rollout schemes. • Troubleshoot technical challenges and handle risks to expedite completion schedules. • Maintain comprehensive documentation for automated processes and systems • Fine-tune automation performance, solve operational glitches, and refine functionalities. • Support Operations lead with issue escalation and resolution to adhere to SLA commitments. Qualifications: Education & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Management System) with 9+ years' experience required, or Master's degree in these fields with 7+ years progressively direct experience delivering projects with MS Power Platform and RPA (UiPath). • Proven experience as a Power platform architect, with a deep understanding of RPA concepts and methodologies ideally within a regulated Medical Device manufacturing context. • Competence in intricate technical project management. • Insight into various IDP platforms such as ABBYY Vantage or FlexiCapture, AWS Textract, or UiPath Document Understanding. • Certification from MS Power Platform, UiPath or other principal RPA platforms would be advantageous. • Familiarity with agile software development life cycles and Scrum frameworks. • Understanding of FDA regulations concerning Software Quality and Systems Validation is essential. • Preferred Skills: • Advanced skills in Microsoft Power Automate and PowerApps and UiPath are desirable. • Commitment to organizational policies, including disease prevention and environmental health and safety measures. • Fluency in programming languages such as .NET (C#, VB), Python, and PowerShell. • A strong background in relational databases and IT infrastructure components. • High-level communication and presentation abilities. • Experience in cloud services like AWS or Azure preferred. • Adeptness to work effectively in both autonomous and collaborative team settings. • An extensive comprehension of healthcare or medical device sectors is an asset. • Prior alignment with Good Manufacturing/Documentation Practices (GxP) is necessary. • Valuable insights into complex global business operations. • Experience navigating FDA regulations for Software Quality and System Validations is highly regarded. • Profound knowledge of key enterprise information systems across various business functions.
