Ciprus Consulting is seeking a Network Administrator with Cybersecurity Experience to support and secure our clients' IT environments. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining network infrastructures for our clients. You’ll also play a key role in cybersecurity measures, ensuring systems remain protected from threats while optimizing network performance. Follow our page for job updates: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ciprus-consulting Key Responsibilities: • Design, configure, and maintain secure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. • Monitor network performance and security, proactively identifying and resolving vulnerabilities or performance issues. • Implement and manage cybersecurity tools such as endpoint detection and response (EDR), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM solutions. • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses. • Configure and manage Microsoft 365 security policies, including email security, identity protection, and access controls. • Administer Active Directory (AD), Group Policies (GPO), DNS, and DHCP across client environments. • Manage and secure cloud and hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, etc.), ensuring compliance with industry best practices. • Support and enforce compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, HIPAA, or other relevant standards). • Provide advanced troubleshooting for network outages, performance degradation, and security threats. • Document network configurations, security policies, and incident response activities. • Work closely with clients to assess their security posture and recommend improvements. • Travel within a 200-mile radius of San Diego County as needed for on-site support. Qualifications & Requirements: ✅ Education & Experience: • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field. • 2+ years of experience in network administration and cybersecurity roles. • Hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, and wireless networking. • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent(higher-level certifications like CISSP, CEH, or CISM are a plus). ✅ Technical Skills: • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation. • Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions. • Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks (Azure, AWS, M365 Security & Compliance). • Ability to detect, analyze, and mitigate cybersecurity threats using EDR, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning tools. • Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages for automation is a plus. ✅ Other Requirements: • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for network and security incidents. • Ability to work independently and prioritize security and infrastructure tasks efficiently. • Must reside within a 30-minute commute to San Diego, CA. • Clean background check and valid driver’s license required. • Reliable transportation for fieldwork (travel between sites is expected). • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
