IT Engineer (Managed Services) Join our top-performing Managed Services Team as a full-time IT Engineer! You'll play a pivotal role in supporting and executing complex server, network, and security projects for clients in the Twin Cities Metro, MN area. You'll leverage established best practices, refine project templates to boost efficiency, and proactively communicate with clients. What You'll Do: • Architect & Implement: Design and execute intricate server, network, and security configurations. • Solve Diverse Challenges: Apply your technical prowess to a broad spectrum of issues across servers, workstations, networking, virtualization, cloud platforms, wireless access points, line-of-business software, standard office applications, and ISP connectivity. • Drive Excellence: Adhere to and champion best practices, utilizing project templates and checklists to ensure seamless delivery. • Be a Proactive Partner: Maintain consistent, proactive communication with clients, providing regular updates on project tasks and milestones. • Document Meticulously: Ensure all time worked and resolutions are thoroughly documented in every service ticket. • Achieve Success: Experience the satisfaction of consistently completing projects on time and within budget. • Stay Ahead: Continuously pursue technical education to remain at the forefront of evolving tech trends. • On-Site Impact: Travel to client locations within the Twin Cities Metro, MN area. Your weekly travel will adapt to your evolving workload. What You'll Bring: • 5+ years of demonstrated technical support experience, including a strong understanding of: • Windows Server Operating Systems: 2016, 2019, and 2022 • Microsoft 365 Ecosystem: Including Azure and Office products • Windows Client OS: 10 and 11 • Advanced Networking: Expertise in VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols, and in-depth troubleshooting • Virtualization Platforms: VMware and HyperV • Wireless Technologies: Configuration and support of wireless services • Cloud Services: Experience with Azure and AWS • Proficiency with professional ticketing systems. • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. • Expertise with the Microsoft Office suite of tools and Teams. • The ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and a valuable sense of humor. • A degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience (a plus). Desired Edge: • 3+ years of experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. • Comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, managed services, and cybersecurity principles. • An analytical mindset with a proven ability to "think outside the box" to resolve critical customer-impacting situations.
