About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to work with cloud-hosted databases, particularly in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments. You will collaborate with teams to design and maintain schemas and stored procedures, optimize queries, database performance, and resolve bottlenecks to ensure efficiency. Additionally, you will implement backup, replication, and failover solutions, plan and execute database upgrades with minimal downtime, and maintain database documentation and communicate performance metrics. Responsibilities: • Manage PostgreSQL and MySQL databases, ensuring high availability, backups, migrations, and security. • Optimize queries, database performance, and resolve bottlenecks to ensure efficiency. • Collaborate with teams to design and maintain schemas and stored procedures. • Implement backup, replication, and failover solutions. • Plan and execute database upgrades with minimal downtime. • Maintain database documentation and communicate performance metrics. Requirements: • Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). • Ability to lead PostgreSQL and MySQL technologies within a DBA team. • Experience with MongoDB and MariaDB is a plus. • Strong understanding of SDLC practices and collaboration with development teams. • Experience with disaster recovery and high availability.
