Senior SQL Server DBA Onsite (Memphis, TN) Location: Memphis, TN (100% Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: $130,000 $140,000 + 10 15% Bonus Potential Visa Requirements: , , or H1B (must have flawless English communication skills) Interview Mode: Video Interview About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team onsite in Memphis, TN. This is a critical role responsible for leading the administration, optimization, and modernization of a complex SQL Server environment across both on-premises and cloud (Azure) infrastructures. Key Responsibilities: • Administer and optimize SQL Server databases (2012 2022) across development, test, and production environments • Lead cloud migration projects to Azure SQL and Managed Instances • Design and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) solutions using Availability Groups, backups/restores, log shipping, and replication • Develop and tune T-SQL queries, indexing strategies, and troubleshoot performance issues • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell or similar scripting tools • Collaborate with software development and DevOps teams for database CI/CD workflows • Monitor and maintain database security, availability, and performance • Manage large-scale environments with 50+ database instances Required Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience administering SQL Server databases (2012 2022) • 5+ years with Azure SQL Server and Managed Instances, including migrations • 8+ years implementing HA/DR strategies • 10+ years of T-SQL development, indexing, and execution plan analysis • 5+ years automating tasks with PowerShell or similar scripting • 7+ years working closely with DevOps/development teams • 4+ years working in Azure cloud environments • 10+ years supporting enterprise environments with 50+ database instances Preferred Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience with CosmosDB and/or PostgreSQL (preferred, not required) • Familiarity with Azure monitoring/security tools and Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Terraform) • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE, Azure DBA Associate) are a plus Why Apply? • Strategic leadership role in modernizing and optimizing data infrastructure • High-impact opportunity supporting mission-critical systems • Competitive compensation with performance-based bonus • Exposure to cutting-edge cloud and database technologies
