What you will do Role Overview: Support the management, continuous improvement and dynamization of the Operational Reporting team. Ensure the activities of Operational Reporting for EDPR NA, Report Tools management and the Operational Data Governance. Main responsibilities: Operational Reporting system/OPMS Management Support in NA: -Support the management of the Operational Reporting System, Manual Editions System and Big Data and Analytics solution, as the single integrated corporate source of operational data and support the specification and the improvements of future technical and functional upgrades -Support the coordination and overview from an operational reporting and data perspective, all initiatives regarding reporting, big data and analytics platforms -Participate in 'service desk" function to solve technical incidents and questions raised by the clients of Operational Reporting system, Manual Editions System and Big Data and Analytics solutions, and identify and ensure the training actions for potential user areas/departments -Participate in the implementation of a new Operational Reporting system, impacted by the new Big Data and Analytics solution Operational Reporting NA: -Gather, prepare and distribute EDPR operational information and KPIs (energy production, availability, NCF, operational incidents, etc.) and raw data -Support the technical analysis, energy assessment and performance analysis of the wind power plants, through the availability of operational data -Collaborate with Planning and Control and Asset Management areas in activities associated with tracking energy sales and progress towards established objectives and justify budget deviations Data Governance: -Participation in teh EDPR Data Governance process -Participation in the creation and update of Data Governance Policies & Standards related with Operational Reports -Participation in the implementation of Data Strategy and Analytics - Big Data solutions, according to the role defined in the process Data Quality Support: -Support data quality management (reliability monitoring of the whole data acquisition and storage chain) -Validate, harmonize and recover technical, economical and energy management information to ensure Operational Reporting system data inputs quality, considering the different information systems in EDPR (WPP/SCADA, interfaces with Maintenance Management System, local energy metering systems, local wind power production forecasting systems, OEM historical databases) -Ensure the follow-up and support to Operations area (namely, site managers/admins) in manual user inputs to the Operational Reporting system, including changing status indicators related to downtime allocation, when necessary -Collaborate with RODC-TS / ROCC-Scada team to detect incidents, namely those related to the local OEM SCADAs, and relate them with the data quality issues resulting from the usage of Operational Reporting system, especially those related to alarms and events -Identify and analyze the most important data quality problems -Participate in the permanent working groups that mange REMS global signal lists, by supporting the evaluation of needs of both ROCCs (EU and NA) and Operational Reporting system and determining the impacts on REMS system updates Interaction with EDPR departments: -Tracking and monitoring of operational processes with Operational Reporting stakeholders, including the assessment of the potential added value of he usage/outputs of Operational Reporting by EDPR employees -Collaboration on the identification and support of the definition of new operational business needs Employment type Full-Time Work site Houston, TX What are we looking for Minimum Requirements: • Mathematical and Computer Science degree, Engineering degree, Business Analytics or Big Data Master • 3 to 5 years of experience in a power production company related to operations, energy evaluation and performance analysis • Operational reporting preparation and analysis (preferred) • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise (preferred) • Computer Skills • Proficiency in Scada Systems • Strong knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or other related data analysis and visualization tools • Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products (preferred) • Valued knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform • Valued knowledge of programming languages and databases (Visual Studio, Python, SQL) • Basic understanding of the North American electricity/renewable energy market, regulatory framework and grid codes Travel: Up to 15% Behavioral Requirements: Physical demands & working conditions: • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment • Walking: Ability to walk .5 to 2 miles per day, including across unpaved and rough surfaces when on project sites. • Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal, diagram, or scheduled form • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form Equal opportunities for all Our vision is that each person combines their unique characteristics and experiences to fulfill our mission of creating new energy for the planet.
