Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to join a Government Consulting company located in Washington, DC through 100% onsite work. The Azure Cloud Engineer will support a major cloud transformation initiative for the Department of the Treasury, migrating on-premise infrastructure to Azure within a secure SCIF environment. Responsibilities: • Design, deploy, and maintain secure Azure cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible). • Migrate on-premise systems to Azure, including virtual machines, databases, storage, and networking components. • Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and other VDI services, ensuring performance and user accessibility. • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance using Azure-native tools and respond to user support tickets. • Ensure compliance with security protocols in a classified environment and maintain documentation for deployments and procedures. Qualifications: • 4+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering or system administration. • Hands-on experience with Azure services: VMs, SQL/NoSQL databases, storage, networking, identity, and security. • Experience migrating an on premises system to Azure • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and managing Infrastructure as Code in production environments. • Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop or similar VDI platforms. • Security+ certification required • OS-level certification (Azure, AWS, Microsoft, Linux, etc.) required • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience. • Must be able to hold an active Secret clearance (interim secret acceptable).
