As we continue expanding in the U.S., we're looking for a Strategic & Operational Purchaser to be the local procurement expert, driving supplier relationships and ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced international environment. Your Role This position combines strategic sourcing with hands-on procurement responsibilities. As the U.S.-based Purchaser, you'll work closely with global suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement for our rail projects. In this role, you will: • Select and evaluate global suppliers for assigned product categories. • Lead strategic contract negotiations to secure optimal terms for cost, quality, and delivery. • Maintain supplier data in our ERP system (e.g., SAP), including lead times and confirmations. • Collaborate with logistics, engineering, planning, and quality teams to resolve issues. • Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements with global teams. • Support new product introductions and cost optimization in coordination with R&D and project management. • Manage operational procurement tasks, including converting requisitions into purchase orders and resolving invoicing discrepancies. • Stay current with best practices in procurement and introduce new tools and methodologies. Who You Are • A collaborative and strategic thinker ready to co-create procurement success. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business field. • 3+ years of experience in technical procurement roles. • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), Microsoft Excel, and interested in Power BI. • Strong negotiation and contract management skills. • Fluent in English. • Willing to travel up to 5% domestically or internationally.
