Senior Database Administrator (Senior SQL DBA) Permanent Hybrid working (1-3 days in office a week) £60,000 Salary 20% bonus + other excellent benefits. On call opportunity (more money) About the role • In this role you will be the Subject Matter Expert for MS SQL Server • You will work on BAU (Business as usual) work. • You will complete the troubleshooting of and resolution to production incidents or problems to meet operational IT needs and ensure business as usual services are maintained within agreed SLAs. • In this role you will be responsible for the creation, quality, and governance of technical and standards documentation to maintain a stable and consistent environment. • The role also includes the provision of assistance and influence to the Architect, Development, and Support teams, to implement and support solutions. • You’ll look for improvement opportunities which will involve coaching, mentoring, planning, supervising, supporting, and training of your team members. Desired Skills and Experience: • Experience with MS SQL SERVER RDBMS 2019 and higher, including High availability (AOAG) • Experience in Production Infrastructure support for critical 24x7 services • Experienced with Database technologies such as: Microsoft SQL Server (on prem and AWS EC2), Oracle (on UNIX) (desirable) AWS RDS (desirable) • Strong focus on troubleshooting, planning and mitigating risk • Identify service improvements and efficiencies • Proficiency in Jira • Powershell Scripting • MS SSAS, SSRS, SSIS What’s in it for you? • Opportunity to work on huge database sets (Large scale integration of 2 large banks) • Opportunity to work on transition from on-prem to the cloud. • Competitive salary with guaranteed increases • 20% bonus & 10% employer pension contribution.
