Description: Position Summary: The Business Analyst/Business Intelligence Developer will transform business needs into actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and visualization. This hybrid role will work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, gather requirements, and develop interactive reports, dashboards, and data extracts that drive and inform strategic decision making. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: • Business Analysis: • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. • Facilitate discussions to clarify key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and objectives. • Translate business needs into functional specifications for data solutions. • Create and maintain standardized documentation templates to capture data requirements effectively. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend data-driven solutions. • Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for new initiatives or changes. • Validate data extracted and visualized by the data team to ensure it meets documented requirements. • Business Intelligence Development: • Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions including dashboards, reports, and data extracts. • Collaborate with stakeholders to confirm that delivered reports and dashboards meet operational goals • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting outputs. • Optimize queries and data models for performance and scalability. • Serve as a point of contact for business intelligence inquiries and providing support to users. Requirements: Education: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Experience: • 3+ years of experience in business analysis and BI development. • Proficiency in SQL and experience with BI tools, e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker. • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools. • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric a plus. • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for data analysis. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. • Preferred experience in banking or financial services.
