At GE Appliances, we’re looking for a Principal Platform Architect to help lead our strategy and implementation for Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft 365 services. This role plays a critical part in our Digital Technology team, shaping enterprise architecture for identity, messaging, and endpoint management. Whether you’re onsite at Appliance Park or working remotely, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize and secure our hybrid environment, automate administrative processes, and drive continuous improvement. Position Principal Platform Architect- Microsoft Services Location USA, Louisville, KY How You'll Create Possibilities Key Responsibilities: • Architect and manage Active Directory environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. • Design hybrid identity solutions using Entra ID (Azure AD), including synchronization, conditional access, and RBAC. • Build and maintain Exchange and Microsoft 365 email solutions, ensuring secure and reliable communication across the organization. • Lead the implementation of modern endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune, focusing on compliance, configuration, and deployment. • Collaborate with MSP Operations to automate administrative tasks, streamline processes, and support governance and security initiatives. • Provide architectural oversight for hybrid Exchange and Active Directory integrations with platforms like Salesforce, Okta, and other SaaS tools. • Serve as a subject matter expert and troubleshoot issues related to Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, and Windows Server OS. • Drive modernization and migration initiatives, including movement from on-premises environments to Microsoft 365. • Use automation tools such as PowerShell and GitHub to improve efficiency and scalability. What You'll Bring to Our Team Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent work experience. • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology. • At least 7 years of experience in designing, managing, or supporting Active Directory environments and integrations. • Hands-on experience with Entra ID (Azure AD), including hybrid identity, conditional access, and governance features. • Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and other collaboration tools. • Proficiency in Windows Server OS and Group Policy administration. • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, organized work style. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with domain and forest migrations. • Experience migrating from on-premises Exchange to Microsoft 365.
