JOB SUMMARY The Senior Manager of IT Network Administration at Community is a pivotal leader in driving the strategic direction and operational integrity of the IT network infrastructure. This role encompasses the development and implementation of policies to bolster network security while leading a team of skilled professionals. The Senior Manager is responsible for aligning the IT network initiatives with organizational goals, ensuring that Community's network resources are utilized effectively and efficiently. This position requires excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills to manage vendor relationships and adhere to budgetary constraints while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration among the IT team. The Sr. Manager of IT Network Administration is also responsible for managing Community's Router/Switch/Firewall, and Load Balancer strategy. The role has oversight of physical/logical IT network hardware/software, enterprise IT as well as network security, compliance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and vendor/budget management. JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES Network Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of both on-premises and cloud-based IT network infrastructure, hardware/software ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Manage WAN, LAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and wireless networks. Lead IT network optimization and capacity planning efforts. Evaluate and implement new networking technologies to enhance the IT network environment. Lead the integration of cloud-based services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) with on-premises systems, optimizing the hybrid and multi-cloud network environment. Architect and manage secure cloud networking solutions, including VPC, Direct Connect, VPN, and other cloud connectivity options. Design and deploy cloud-based network solutions that scale with business needs. Security & Compliance: Develop and implement IT network security strategies, ensuring that the enterprise is protected against cyber threats and that all cloud environments comply with industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS). Work with Industry security teams to implement firewalls, encryption, and other security measures with industry Best Practices as the objective. Partner with InfoSec to perform regular network vulnerability assessments and address any potential weaknesses. Troubleshooting & Incident Management: Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex network issues in a timely and effective manner. Develop and maintain incident response procedures and root cause analysis processes for network-related outages. Provide support for escalated network incidents and outages. Maintain the IT Infrastructure Network Operational Runbook and update annually. Implement and manage network monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues. Develop and maintain network performance dashboards and reports. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for network uptime, latency, and security. Capacity Planning & Future Network Design: Lead the capacity planning process, ensuring the network infrastructure scales to meet future demands. Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) strategies for the network. Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends in networking and cloud services. Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a team of network engineers and administrators, providing mentorship, training, and career development opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Systems, Cloud, Active Directory, and Security teams) to align network design with organizational goals. Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers for network services and solutions. Other Duties as Assigned Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the organization's IT goals. Master's Degree preferred.
