The Asset Management group includes Capital & Space Management, Real Estate, Sustainability, for planning and workload management. Campus Maintenance currently has an outstanding opportunity for a CAAMS Administrator (Computer Services Consultant 1). Under the general direction of the Building Access Group Manager, (UW Lockshop and Campus Automated Access Management System-CAAMS) the Computer Services Consultant 1 position is responsible for supporting the Onguard Access Control System and end users on the Seattle Campus. This position will also be required to support the Lockshop Business processes, and other networked devices. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Develop an expert understanding of all applicable Onguard system features and processes to support end users, field support technicians and campus operations. • Develop, refine, and deliver end user training across the Seattle Campus to support the utilization of the Onguard Access Control System. • Coordinate with the vendor (Lenel) and system integrator (RFI) to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all Onguard features and functionality of the Onguard software. • Troubleshoot the resolution of all maintenance issues required for reliable operation of the Onguard Access Control System. • Collaborate across the UW valued partner organizations to gain insights for training needs and develop reference documentation for End Users of the access control system. • Ensure that end users are fully aware and trained on the reporting features and limitations of the Onguard software. • Provide helpdesk support to Onguard end users utilizing email, Zoom/onsite meetings or by phone as required. • Work directly with the UW System Integrator and CAAMS clients to resolve questions quickly and thoroughly. • Provide technical support in resolving routine software and hardware problems. • Provide backup support to other online systems managed within the Building Access Group. (SimpleK and Traka) • Coordinate closely with the Husky Card Office to resolve issues with cardholder records and badge issuances. • Coordinate closely with UW-IT to resolve network connection issues and system data imports. • Coordinate and update the Building Access Group web page content to ensure that it aligns with UWF policy and procedures. • Work on special projects as requested. • Conduct trend analysis and provide historical information as needed. • Attend and actively participate in meetings and training. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements include: • Two years of college coursework in computer science or a related field AND two years of experience in design, development, or maintenance and support of software systems. OR • a bachelor’s degree in a job-related area OR equivalent education/experience. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. Desired: • Completion of an approved vocational or trade school course as a control technician or equivalent trade skill. • Possess excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills. • Able to communicate appropriately with clients, staff and students while presenting a professional image. • Experience in applicable desktop computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and computerized Work Management systems.
