Position Title: Data Analyst Job Code: Full-Time Overtime Status: Exempt Department: Mission Support Location: Omaha, NE Reports To: COO Number of People Supervised: 0 Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000 POSITION PURPOSE The primary responsibility of the Data Analyst will be to analyze large datasets to uncover insights and trends using strong quantitative skills. They will also play a crucial role in supporting decision-making processes by providing accurate and actionable data-driven recommendations through the production of reports, dashboards, and visualizations. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead the development and production of comprehensive reports, Excel and Power BI dashboards, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders, including the agency’s leadership team, board members, and funders. • In collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Director of Programming & Innovation (DPI), oversee the design and implementation of robust monitoring, analytics, and evaluation systems to assess program impact and outcomes. • Along with Program Leadership, conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and innovation in program delivery in addition to accuracy and consistency. • Provide strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights to enhance program effectiveness and optimization. • Work with DPI and Program Leadership to improve survey collection and quality assurance and share the purpose and results of data collection with the program team. • Work with the Grants Manager to identify trends in data for grant requests and ensure compliance with relevant grant billing and reporting requirements. • Work with the Grant Manager, DPI, and development team to set up new data collection processes, mine data, and ensure accurate grant tags and reporting. • Streamline systems and processes for the Fund Development and Grants teams. • Work with the development team on data collection of current and potential donors. • Establish key metrics and standards, collect and analyze the data, and identify and document data quality issues. • Provide support agency wide in creating innovative processes and systems, such as implementing Basecamp with internal teams. • Work directly with the DPI to identify opportunities to maximize Matchforce, eTapestry, software cross-functionality, and the use of other databases and software to best serve our program and revenue goal. • Collaborate with the Leadership team on calculating annual agency-wide statistics to be used for internal and external communications. • Work with the Finance Director to align financial reporting with program outcomes and impact. • Participate in trainings and/or continuing education on relevant material for professional development. • Support, and collaborate with, other departments, including program, development, and Mission Support, along with the agency’s JEDI efforts, to accomplish organization goals. • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or CEO. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ EDUCATION & RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE Education Level: Minimum Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
