Job Title: Cloud and Infrastructure Security Engineer Job Type: Permanent Location: Remote New York Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 Join our team as a Cloud and Infrastructure Security Engineer and play a vital role in enhancing our security posture while protecting our critical systems. You will be at the forefront of securing both cloud and on-premises infrastructure, actively monitoring security events, conducting comprehensive vulnerability assessments, and implementing robust security controls. Collaborate with our engineering teams to integrate security best practices throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement effective security measures for both cloud and on-premises infrastructure. • Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments, scans, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks. • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures. • Monitor security events and provide real-time incident response. • Automate security processes within CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS. • Work collaboratively with teams to embed security into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Manage and optimize security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and cloud security platforms. • Lead important security initiatives across network, endpoint, and cloud security. • Implement and manage endpoint protection and cloud security solutions. What You Bring • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud security. • Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, and identity management. • Hands-on experience with Azure security best practices. • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or similar technologies. • Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management. • Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and working in containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes). • Knowledge of zero-trust architecture, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and encryption techniques. • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or Azure Security Engineer) are highly desirable.
