W2 Candidates only Description • Seeking a skilled and innovative Power BI Fabric Support Engineer & Developer to architect, develop, and maintain advanced business intelligence solutions. • Based in Jersey City, NJ, this hybrid role requires one day per week onsite and is ideal for someone who can blend deep technical skills with strong business communication. • The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the Power BI architecture, leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, M language, and scripting tools to enable secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end Power BI architecture, including: Data ingestion (via Fabric Pipelines & OneLake), Semantic model design and optimization, DAX measures and calculations. Report and dashboard creation with UX best practices • Define and enforce governance, naming conventions, and version control in Power BI artifacts. • Create and manage enterprise datasets, certified dataflows, and shared workspaces with security and scalability in mind. • Utilize Microsoft Fabric capabilities, including: Direct Lake, Lakehouses, and OneLake, Data Pipelines and Notebooks. • Orchestrate robust, automated, and reusable data workflows that support real-time and batch analytics. • Design and deploy Power Automate flows to support: BI report refresh scheduling, Alerting and notification systems, Integration with third-party systems via connectors and APIs • Automate manual business processes to improve efficiency and auditability. • Use Power Query (M language) for advanced data shaping, cleaning, and transformation logic, Report deployment, Data validation, Integration with Azure services or REST APIs • Engage with business users to gather requirements, perform needs assessments, and translate them into technical solutions. • Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. • Create documentation, technical design specs, and user guides to support solution delivery and adoption.
