We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to enhance our care and risk modeling team. You will play a crucial role in delivering innovative data solutions by collaborating with engineers, analysts, and product teams in a dynamic, agile environment. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the design, development, and implementation of new functionalities for our care and risk modeling initiatives. • Serve as a thought partner to business stakeholders, identifying impactful applications of statistical analysis and machine learning. • Work closely with clinical and population health partners to customize models and tools that meet program requirements. • Manage large structured and unstructured datasets, ensuring repeatable and scalable analysis. • Collaborate with development teams to define the product vision and enhance the product roadmap. • Mentor and develop junior data scientists, fostering their growth and skill enhancement. • Exhibit strong communication skills and maintain a positive, solution-focused approach. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field. • At least 7 years of relevant data science or analytics experience. • A minimum of 1 year of experience in mentoring technical teams. • Proficiency in SQL and Python in cloud environments (GCP, Azure, AWS) for analytical problem-solving. • Experience working with clinical data and solving analytics problems in the healthcare domain. • Proven track record of leading analytics projects from concept to delivery across diverse stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: • Master's degree in a related field. • Experience with the model production lifecycle, including assessment, deployment, monitoring, and retraining. • Extensive experience with SQL-based relational databases. • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Work Location: This position is based in Chicago, IL but offers remote work flexibility. Compensation: The typical pay range for this role is $106,605.00 - $284,280.00, contingent on various factors including experience and location.
