We're looking for engineers who are: ✔ Passionate about building and optimizing mobile applications for scalability, performance, and user experience✔ Experienced in leading mobile projects, mentoring engineers, and defining technical roadmaps✔ Excited about native (Swift/Kotlin) and cross-platform (React Native, Flutter) development Typical Roles & Responsibilities • Architect, design, and develop scalable, high-performance mobile applications • Own and optimize mobile performance, security, and reliability • Lead efforts in mobile API integrations, cloud storage solutions, and data synchronization • Work with backend teams to create efficient REST, GraphQL, and WebSocket APIs • Guide and mentor junior engineers, establishing best practices for mobile development • Define and maintain mobile CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and release processes • Research and integrate emerging mobile technologies to keep applications cutting-edge Common Qualifications While each startup has its own hiring criteria, many staff mobile engineering roles in our network look for: • 6+ years of experience in mobile development for iOS and/or Android • Deep expertise in Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android) for native app development • Experience with cross-platform frameworks like React Native, Flutter, or MAUI • Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX principles, animations, and accessibility • Familiarity with state management libraries (Jetpack Compose, SwiftUI, Redux, MobX) • Hands-on experience integrating cloud services (Firebase, AWS, GCP) and local databases (Core Data, Room, Realm, SQLite) • Proficiency in mobile security best practices, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and encryption techniques • Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks (XCTest, Espresso, Detox, Cypress) • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile deployment tools (Fastlane, Bitrise, App Store Connect, Google Play Console) • Proven leadership in technical strategy, architecture, and mentoring engineers Technologies You Might Work With: • Native Development: Swift (iOS), Kotlin (Android), Objective-C, Java • Cross-Platform Development: React Native, Flutter, MAUI, Xamarin • UI & State Management: Jetpack Compose (Android), SwiftUI (iOS), Redux, MobX, Provider • Networking & APIs: REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, Firebase Firestore, Apollo Client • Database & Storage: SQLite, Core Data, Room, Realm, Firebase Realtime Database • Cloud & DevOps: AWS Amplify, Firebase, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Fastlane • Testing & CI/CD: XCTest, Espresso, Jest, Cypress, Detox, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins • Other Tools: App Store Connect, Google Play Console, Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry What Happens Next? • Submit your application to join SignalFire's Talent Ecosystem. • We review applications on an ongoing basis to identify strong candidates. • If there's a match, a SignalFire talent partner or a leader from one of our startups may reach out directly. • No match yet?
