Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join their dynamic IT team in Baltimore, Maryland, US . This role is integral to designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based solutions across various business units. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud computing principles, architectural best practices, and a proven track record in translating complex business requirements into robust technical designs. Responsibilities include leading the architectural design of cloud environments, collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration, and staying abreast of emerging cloud technologies to drive innovation. You will also be responsible for developing migration strategies for on-premise applications to cloud platforms, optimizing cloud resource utilization, and establishing clear documentation for cloud architecture and processes. A key aspect of this role involves providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineers. Furthermore, you will engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, present architectural recommendations, and ensure alignment with overall IT strategy and enterprise architecture standards. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for leveraging cloud technologies to solve business challenges. Expertise in cloud security best practices, disaster recovery planning, and high availability configurations is essential. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our client's technological future. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement enterprise-level cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP). Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation and standards. Lead cloud migration planning and execution for critical applications. Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on solution design and implementation. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security policies. Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues. Present technical solutions to stakeholders at all levels. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture. Proven experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash).
