Position OverviewBGB Group is seeking a Senior Director, IT to lead the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of all information technology initiatives across the organization. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the secure, compliant, and scalable operation of IT infrastructure, systems, and services in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment. The Senior Director will collaborate with executive leadership to align technology strategies with business goals, drive digital transformation, manage high-performing teams, and lead key infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives. This is a hybrid position based in New York City, NY. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Business AlignmentDevelop and execute the company’s IT strategy in alignment with organizational goals, ensuring technology supports innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership, communicating technology direction, performance metrics, and emerging opportunities. Lead digital transformation initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies to drive efficiency and maintain competitive advantage. Partner cross-collaboratively with business operations, finance, and human resources, while additionally supporting all other departments. IT Operations, Infrastructure & CybersecurityOversee all IT operations including infrastructure, cloud services, enterprise systems, and endpoint management across both Mac and Windows environments. Ensure security, availability, and compliance of systems in accordance with SOC2 and other applicable regulations within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. Direct the planning and execution of major IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget alignment, and measurable business outcomes. Team & Vendor ManagementLead and mentor a multidisciplinary IT team (system administrators, helpdesk associates, engineers, etc.), fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and service excellence. Manage IT budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships—including contract negotiation and performance management. Compliance, Risk, & Process OptimizationEnforce IT governance and compliance policies (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA) in collaboration with legal, privacy, and regulatory stakeholders. Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Promote IT service management best practices using frameworks such as ITIL or COBIT. Technical Expertise & ToolsExpertise in device and endpoint management, particularly using Microsoft Intune across Mac and Windows platforms. Proficient in scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to improve operational efficiency and reporting. Strong background in cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, Box, SharePoint), including access governance and migrations. Deep understanding of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configuration. Experience managing enterprise software systems such as ERP, CRM, and data analytics platforms. Preferred experience with Jamf Pro for Apple device management in enterprise environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience8+ years of progressive IT leadership, with 5+ years in senior or director-level roles with mid-size organizations (500-1000 employees) Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder IT projects. Professional services industry experience preferred, ideally in advertising, PR, media, and communications agencies; healthcare/life sciences/pharma a plus Education & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred Master’s degree or certifications such as CISSP, CISA, PMP, or ITIL a plus Leadership & Interpersonal SkillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders. Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Salary Range$165,000–$185,000 The salary range provided is for the NYC hybrid position, which requires occasional in-office presence, and represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. For candidates in other locations, salary will be adjusted to reflect local market rates. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need.
