Position Type: Admin Professional Technical/Systems Administrator Date Posted: 4/18/2025 Location: Education Service Center Date Available: 07/01/2025 Closing Date: 04/25/2025 Position Purpose: The Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of the District‘s information technology systems, equipment, and infrastructure. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will work with a team of IT professionals to provide high-quality IT services to the school district. Essential Duties : • Install, support and maintain enterprise data center equipment • Administer enterprise virtualization environments • Configure, manage & maintain Google Workspace environments • Monitor, analyze and optimize various systems for use by applications, databases and utilities • Manage and support enterprise backup and recovery systems • Administration of external SAN and/or NAS storage • Perform software and hardware patching, updating and deployments • Collaborate with Network, Application, Database and Server teams to implement solutions and resolve issues • Manage Papercut Print Server and provide system troubleshooting • Develop and maintain implementation plans, test plans, procedures, system administrator guides and other documentation as required • Ensures the highest level of infrastructure availability and performance • Conduct high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption and establish preventive measures • Perform other duties as assigned or requested Education/Certification: • Bachelor‘s Degree or higher in a technology field or comparable progressive experience, preferably in Systems Administration role • Relevant Professional/Technical Certifications (AWS, Microsoft, Google, etc.) Experience: • 5+ years Systems Administration with an emphasis with Windows platforms, VMware virtualization and storage/backups • Prefer experience in cloud infrastructure (i.e. AWS) and Google Workspace Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Expert knowledge of Microsoft server platform and technologies • Professional experience installing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise servers • Strong experience with server virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V, etc.) • Experience deploying and managing multiple server services: Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, IIS, Centralized Antivirus programs • Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory and SCCM. • Strong experience with authentication protocols such as LDAP and SAML • Experience in applying cyber security hardening configurations to virtualization platforms, server operating systems, and core server technologies including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP • Experience with cloud technologies including IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, and DaaS • Experience with Google Workspace, Google Cloud & Chrome OS policies • Good understanding of networking essentials and communication protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, SMTP) • Experience with Cisco UCS and HP/Nimble hardware preferred • Ability to analyze complex technical environments, determine needs, towards proposing and executing timely and effective solutions. • Knowledge of and applicable experience with ITIL practices • Plan and organize workload, as well as accomplish tasks with minimum supervision • Stay current with IT trends and new technologies • Able to respond and resolve urgent calls for emergencies Salary Range: minimum $70,642 to midpoint $93,214 253 contract days
