Location: Salt Lake City, UT Salary: $70,000.00 USD Annually - $90,000.00 USD Annually Description Job Title: Product Developer – Food Innovation Location: Salt Lake City, UT Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time About The Role We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Product Developer to lead the development of new food products and the enhancement of existing ones. This role is pivotal in aligning product innovation with customer expectations and company strategy. Success in this position requires a unique blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and exceptional organizational skills. The role may include supervisory responsibilities for a technician. Key Responsibilities • Drive the end-to-end product development process—from concept through commercialization. • Conduct research and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure product feasibility and market alignment. • Present product concepts and progress updates to internal stakeholders. • Manage timelines, resources, and documentation with precision and accountability. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field. • At least 2 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry. • Proven ability to meet objectives and perform essential duties with proficiency. Preferred Qualifications & Skills • Deep knowledge of food product formulation, ingredient functionality, and process design. • Experience with product scale-up, plant trials, and commercialization. • Strong understanding of FDA regulations, food safety, and industry standards. • Proficiency in Genesis R&D Food Labeling Software (ESHA Research). • Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite. • Effective communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams. • Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle projects within tight deadlines. • Adaptable, proactive, and results-driven with a strong sense of ownership.
