IT Specialist 📍 Location: Goodyear, AZ | 🕒 Full-Time | 🏭 Department: Information Technology 💰 Non-Exempt | 💡 Competitive Salary + Benefits Company Overview GTI Energy is a recognized leader in the design, engineering, and fabrication of custom modular structures, shipping container-based solutions, and ballistic metal fabrication. Serving sectors such as defense, disaster relief, renewable energy, and commercial markets, GTI proudly manufactures all solutions in-house at our state-of-the-art facility in Goodyear, Arizona. As we bring IT operations fully in-house, we are looking for an experienced IT Specialist to support and strengthen our internal technology infrastructure. Position Overview The IT Specialist will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the day-to-day operations of GTI’s IT systems, including hardware, software, networking, system administration, and end-user support. This individual will play a hands-on role in troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring security compliance across all locations. Key Responsibilities: 🖥️ Hardware Support • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware malfunctions; perform upgrades as needed • Manage IT asset inventory across departments • Support A/V systems and telecommunication setup 💻 Software Support • Install and update operating systems and business-critical software • Provide end-user support for Microsoft 365, Zoom, VPN, and enterprise tools • Work with vendors for software license renewals and technical support 🌐 Systems & Network Support • Assist with managing routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls • Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance • Administer user accounts and permissions via Active Directory • Support data backup, disaster recovery, and uptime monitoring 👥 End-User Support & Training • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related requests • Deliver timely remote and on-site support for users across GTI locations • Create training resources and user documentation for internal systems 🔐 Security & Compliance • Ensure IT systems are aligned with internal security policies and compliance standards • Respond to incidents and support cybersecurity best practices • Assist with audit preparation and maintain IT documentation Required Qualifications ✔ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) ✔ 3+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration ✔ Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, network troubleshooting, and hardware support ✔ Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and install/setup IT equipment as needed Preferred Qualifications 🎯 CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar industry certifications 🎯 Experience with ERP systems, cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), or IT ticketing systems 🎯 Prior experience in a manufacturing or multi-site organization Work Environment & Schedule • Full-time, on-site in Goodyear, AZ • Occasional travel to nearby company locations may be required • May include on-call responsibilities as part of a rotating schedule Compensation & Benefits • Competitive hourly or salaried compensation (based on experience) • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off • Growth opportunities as GTI scales its IT infrastructure
