Data Architect The Data Architect will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our data infrastructure, data pipelines on Microsoft Azure and Databricks. The role involves defining standards & best practices, working closely with Finance, Product Lines, Back Office, IBOs, and Operations teams to ensure our data architecture and solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs. Essential Job Functions: Data Architecture Design: Design and implement efficient data pipelines and architectures using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and other Azure services. Data Integration: Develop, monitor, and maintain data pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring seamless data flow, data quality, and data integrity. Standards & Best Practices: Lead the adoption of Azure and Databricks standards and best practices. Data Model Design & Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain data architecture, models, catalog, and dictionary to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems. System Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor, enhance, and automate system health and performance using Azure, Databricks, LogAnalytics, Application Insights, and optimize data storage and retrieval for cost efficiency. Collaboration & Support: Partner with IT and business teams to translate needs into scalable data solutions. Provide technical support during deployment and maintenance. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver value-added solutions. Documentation & Governance: Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, models, pipelines, and artifacts. Collaborate with IT leaders to enhance data governance and quality frameworks. Technology Updates: Stay current with latest data and analytics technologies, recommending enhancements and new tools. Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup strategies using Azure Backup and Recovery Services, develop and test disaster recovery plans. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Data Science, or equivalent experience. 12+ years in cloud architecture, automation, and cloud-driven solutions like Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, and GCP. Deep expertise in Azure, including Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, DevOps, AI/ML, AD, Databricks, and other Azure data services. Proficiency in optimizing data pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency. Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GithubActions, Gitlab CI/CD. Knowledge of data lifecycle management and Master Data Management strategies. Hands-on scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go, and familiarity with Azure Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration. Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across IT and business teams. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred certifications: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator, or similar.
