Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer as a contractor to join our team and work on targeted projects with significant business impact. The ideal candidate will have specialized experience in DevOps, software development, and security practices. You will collaborate closely with the product security assurance team to implement Secure Software Development Framework (SSDF) requirements. This is a key role for delivering projects that align with security, infrastructure optimization, and CI/CD pipeline improvements. Key Responsibilities: Security Integration: Integrate security tools and checks (e.g., static and dynamic analysis, dependency scans) into CI/CD pipelines. Automate vulnerability scanning, code quality checks, and compliance validation processes to ensure secure and high-quality code. Infrastructure Optimization: Optimize and enhance the infrastructure for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including security, development, and operations, to implement best practices for DevOps and security integration. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies for increased automation, efficiency, and security compliance. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer for 7-10 years, with at least 1+ years in a lead role. Significant hands-on experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and security integration. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitHub Actions, Git). Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS. Expertise in configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet). Programming & Scripting: Strong experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, and container orchestration. Process & Best Practices: Ability to implement effective branching strategies and code review processes to improve code quality and foster collaboration. Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk. System & Networking: Knowledge of system administration tasks, including managing Linux and Windows servers, configuring network services, and optimizing system performance and security. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), DevOps tools, or security practices (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker, Kubernetes). Security Compliance: In-depth knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements, such as those outlined in SSDF. Additional Experience: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
