This innovative approach enables data-driven decisions in data center design, deployment, and operations, leading to improved efficiency and adaptability in a dynamic market. As a Senior Software Engineer in this pivotal role, you will play an essential part in developing a service delivery model focused on self-service analysis using governed data on trusted platforms, empowering users and accelerating insights. Your responsibilities will include: • Leading software engineering tasks for the DCEAM organization, managing end-to-end development and releases of software solutions that align with DCEAM priorities. • Collaborating with mechanical engineers and data scientists to gather requirements and define software solutions. • Working alongside Oracle Hardware solutions teams to transition DCEAM-developed software to larger platforms for broader applications. • Coordinating with DCEAM TPM resources to create project schedules ensuring timely execution of program objectives. • Building ETLs, Data Pipelines, and Software Solutions to meet DCEAM goals. Additionally, you will: • Establish data collection and analytical practices for actionable insights in DC operations, Oracle hardware, OCI capacity, DC engineering, and more. • Support data scientists in crafting strategic solutions through data analysis. • Assist non-data teams in developing user-friendly visualization tools. • Create analytical models for predictive analytics capabilities. You will also be tasked with: • Effectively communicating insights and actionable findings to varying audiences, from executive leadership to standardized reporting. • Partnering with solutions delivery organizations to automate reporting and define customer requirements for scalable software solutions. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: • 3+ years in software development. • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. • Proficient in Python; understanding of syntax, data structures, algorithms, and OOP principles is essential. • Experience with web frameworks (Django or Flask) for server-side logic and APIs is preferred. • Knowledge of relational and potentially NoSQL databases. • Familiarity with Git and version control systems. • Basic understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus. • Knowledge of testing methodologies to ensure code quality. • Effective debugging and troubleshooting skills. • Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and Oracle Application Express (APEX) preferred. • Self-starter mentality with attention to detail and structured thinking. • Experience engaging stakeholders across various teams. • Preferred background in Data Center Operations. This role involves complex, non-routine work that requires advanced technical and business skills. You will not only contribute individually but also guide and mentor others as part of a collaborative team. This position may allow remote work, but some travel to visit OCI data centers or development centers may be necessary. The role offers a competitive salary range from $79,800 to $178,100 per annum, with potential for bonuses and equity. Oracle provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and more.
