Job Summary The IT Infrastructure Specialist is a hands-on technical professional responsible for managing and securing the organization’s IT infrastructure in accordance with CMMC 2.0 Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 standards. This position ensures the reliability and security of networks, systems, and Microsoft 365 cloud services (including ENTRA ID and Microsoft Purview). The role supports both daily IT operations and long-term cybersecurity compliance in a tightly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Network Administration • Administer and support LAN/WAN networks, including routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless systems. • Manage Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, and backup systems. • Ensure system patching, uptime, and change control adherence. • Implement segmentation and boundary protections to meet CUI handling standards. Microsoft 365, ENTRA ID & Purview • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune. • Manage identity and access through Microsoft ENTRA ID (Azure AD), including Conditional Access, MFA, and group policies. • Coordinate with compliance and security teams to align Microsoft Purview policies with CMMC 2.0/NIST SP 800-171 frameworks. Cybersecurity & Compliance (CMMC 2.0 Level 2) • Support the implementation and maintenance of technical safeguards aligned with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC 2.0 Level 2 requirements for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). • Assist in developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and incident response protocols. • Monitor and maintain endpoint protection, firewalls, and identity protection tools. • Enforce least privilege principles, RBAC, and policy-driven access control. • Participate in audits and remediation activities related to DFARS, ITAR, and CMMC compliance. User Support & Endpoint Management • Provide Tier 1/2 support for end users in a Windows-based environment. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktop hardware, business applications, printers, and remote connectivity (VPN, RDP). • Support hardware lifecycle, software deployments, and device onboarding via Microsoft Intune or other MDM solutions. Documentation & Operational Improvement • Maintain accurate documentation for IT systems, change logs, support processes, and compliance artifacts. • Develop and refine SOPs, security guidelines, and asset management procedures. • Contribute to IT policy development and end-user awareness initiatives. Required Qualifications • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and support. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, ENTRA ID (Azure AD), Windows Server, and networking. • Understanding of Microsoft Purview compliance and data protection features. • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 controls and CMMC 2.0 Level 2 requirements. • Ability to manage and support user environments in compliance-sensitive settings. • U.S. Citizenship required for access to ITAR/export-controlled systems and data. Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting ITAR, DFARS, or export-controlled environments. • Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell). • Certifications (any of the following): • CompTIA Security+, Network+, CySA+ • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Associate • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals • Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) – a plus Working Conditions • Full-time, on-site in Orlando, FL. • Occasional after-hours work for system maintenance or security response. • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. (hardware installation, equipment transport).
